Become a Docent

Because the essence of our mission is to provide educational, cultural and aesthetic enrichment for people of all walks of life in our region, we see conducting tours of the Garden as an essential function.

Share your knowledge and enthusiasm with our garden visitors! Docents receive hands-on training and manuals containing information about the Garden and plants. Guided tours usually last 2 to 2 ½ hours.

New docents begin co-leading tours with an experienced docent as soon as they feel ready. The next docent training will be held spring of 2009.
