Pride Month

Join us throughout Pride Month as Kruckeberg Botanic Garden comes alive with colorful community-created yarn installations celebrating creativity, inclusion, and connection.

This year’s Pride Yarn Bombing installations will primarily take place within the Children’s Play Garden and select additional areas throughout the garden. Visitors are invited to knit, crochet, weave, or craft yarn pieces at home and drop them off with garden staff anytime during the month of June to become part of this collaborative community art installation.

Guests who would like to participate in the installation process are also welcome to join us on Thursdays in June from 1–3 PM, when garden staff and volunteers will help hang and install creations together in select areas of the garden.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. Handmade pieces of all sizes are encouraged, from simple colorful strands to fully crafted wraps and decorations. Synthetic yarn materials are preferred when possible so pieces may last longer outdoors and become part of Kruckeberg’s growing Woodland Yarn Bomb Collection for future annual displays.

Whether you contribute a handmade piece, spend time crafting in the garden, or simply come to enjoy the vibrant displays, this community art project offers a welcoming and creative way to celebrate Pride Month surrounded by nature.
