Last spring we were thrilled with the popularity of our new field trip program for preschool and early elementary groups. We are excited to launch the school field trips page of our website, debuting our new fall field trip themes.

Our field trips follow the same principals as our popular Garden Tots program. Children develop a connection with the natural world by exploring the Garden and experiencing the sights, sounds, smells and even the feel of different plants. We include a hands-on craft project with each theme, and whenever possible, we incorporate natural materials from the garden in our project.

At four acres, the garden is a perfect size for small legs. Fencing and a single entrance/exit provide a secure oasis where parents can relax and allow children to explore. Thanks to the generous support of our Acorn Fund, field trips are very reasonably priced at $50 for up to 15 students.

If you have a child, grandchild, or friend who might appreciate a field trip to the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, or know a preschool or early elementary teaching looking for field trip ideas, please help us get the word out, and visit our School Programs Page for more info.
