GardenParty 2011, the Garden’s signature fundraising event, took place on the evening of June 9. With a good crowd of attendees, lively jazz music, and a fun silent auction, the event was a success!
Shoreline’s lovely City Hall building was a great venue for the event.
The attendees had a good time mingling with other Garden supporters.
The evening was a great time to catch up with friends and neighbors. Attendees ranged from new Garden supporters to long-time friends and colleagues of the Kruckeberg family.
The evening included tasty tidbits!
The silent auction was a fun feature this year. It included choice plants from the MsK Nursery, beautiful garden art and furniture donated by local businesses, container gardens planted by the Garden staff, and other items.
Bidding for some items was competitive!
Board member Paul Grace was an enthusiastic and frequent bidder.
The Garden staff, Vicki, Heidi, Roseann, and Sarah, are usually seen in grubby work clothes but can clean up pretty well.
The staff, board of directors, and other volunteers worked hard to make the evening possible. Thanks to everyone who helped!
