Lonicera involucrata – Twinberry
As you’ll see, this is a shrub, a native one at that, but it gives you a chance to compare blossoms of another member of the honeysuckle family. (One other honeysuckle is on the corner of the greenhouse coming up to view). Flowers in the Caprifoliaceae or honeysuckle family are typically tubular and often fragrant. Leaves are opposite and often fused forming a disc. And yes, later two berries will appear, both dark-colored thus living up to its name.
