I have been inspired in the past few days by the Garden’s volunteers. They seem to come out of the woodwork whenever needed and I just had to write about a few of them.
Four hardy Northwesterners turned out today to work in the Nursery and clean the Garden courtyard. Undeterred by thunderstorms and 40-degree weather, they didn’t even leave early.
Numerous volunteers helped promote the Garden last week at our Flower and Garden Show booth. Others braved the chaos to set-up and tear down the booth. This is no small feat.
There are many other volunteers behind the scenes who would be sorely missed if they were gone. A couple of long-time volunteers who have been busy lately come to mind, but I won’t name names because they would hate it. No matter. They know who they are.
So, thanks to all our volunteers. You are indeed an inspiration.
