The Garden’s annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale and Open House has now come and gone for another year. As always, it was a fun gathering of Garden supporters, plant enthusiasts, and families exploring the outdoors together. Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed!

This year, 760 people attended the Sale and most left with new plants for their gardens. We love to see happy shoppers.

Our wonderful tour docent Bert led a tour to introduce visitors to the Garden. I was scheduled to lead it, but he showed up and offered to help out. Thanks, Bert!

Many shoppers found cartloads of plants to take home. We like that.

The Sprout Spot attracted kids and parents all weekend. The kids were able to dig for bugs, play with worms, pot up plants, and make a gift for Mom. Sounds like fun to me!

Our staff and volunteers worked hard all weekend, as well as to prepare beforehand. Thanks to everyone who helped out in any capacity.

I received a couple visits from my family over the weekend. Gardens are better with babies, I think.

Placing a bouquet for Mareen Kruckeberg in her memorial fountain has become a Mother’s Day tradition. As always, her presence is missed and we appreciate the legacy she left us every day.

We hope to see you at the Sale next year!
